Poland Launches New Corporate Bond Index for Financial Firms

Poland's GPW Benchmark, together with TFI PZU, introduced the Poland Corporate Bond Financials Index (POLCBF). The index tracks corporate bonds and covered bonds issued by financial companies—including banks, insurers and leasing firms—listed on the Catalyst market and traded over‑the‑counter (OTC).

The POLCBF covers Polish‑zloty issuances above PLN 100 million with maturities over one year, using data from the KDPW securities registry to reflect both exchange‑listed and OTC transactions. Its base date is 29 December 2023, with daily calculations and monthly publications. The launch aims to increase price transparency, improve market liquidity, and encourage more firms to raise financing through bonds, supporting the broader development of Poland’s corporate bond market.
