Poland launches regional economic award contests in Silesia and Pomerania

Two regional competitions aimed at promoting social economy and business development have been announced in Poland. The Silesian contest, organized by the Regional Social Policy Center of the Silesian Voivodeship and co‑financed by the EU under the FERS 2021‑2027 programme, invites nominations for categories such as Reintegration, Discovery, Leader of Social Economy, and Market Success. Applications are accepted until 28 August 2026.

In the Pomeranian Voivodeship, a similar “Gryf Gospodarczy” competition, also free to enter, runs until 31 August 2026. It recognises firms, start‑ups, social‑economy entities and municipalities that create jobs, innovate, export, invest and support environmental responsibility. Award categories include Innovation Leader, Export Leader, Investment Leader, and special prizes for green transformation, employee development and journalism. The contest is supported by PwC, the Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Provincial Labour Office in Gdańsk and the Regional Social Policy Center in Gdańsk.

Both contests aim to highlight successful regional initiatives, attract investment and strengthen the local economies of Silesia and Pomerania.
