Poland regional initiatives 2026

Entities: Wadowice Górne · Gmina Wadowice Górne · Pszczyna · Dożynki · Horyniec‑Zdrój

Overview

In July 2026 Poland expanded its summer regional programme. Award contests continued in Silesia and Pomerania, while harvest‑festival preparations moved forward in Sztum and Wadowice Górne. The Warsaw School of Visual Arts offered workshops on advertising, copywriting, 3‑D graphics and branding, and Opole scheduled concerts, sport activities and the OpenOpole festival.

A week later municipalities announced free cultural events, including Dożynki harvest festivals with masses, wreath‑making contests and folk music in Stanica WOPR (Bydgoszcz), Sztum, Wadowice Górne, Kraków’s Podgórze district and Gronów Górny, alongside art exhibitions, open‑air cinema and charity sport gatherings.

On 29 July the calendar for August was detailed: the XVI Śląskie Dni Miodu in Pszczyna featured a honey market, children’s workshops and live music; OpenOPOLE in Opole presented street theatre, circus workshops and family performances on 1‑2 August; Dożynki in Wadowice Górne (Izbiska) and Czerteż were set for 16 August; Horyniec‑Zdrój held its tenth Art Festival (2‑9 August); Stanica WOPR Salina’s Dożynki were scheduled for 15 August; and the Pomorskie Święto Plonów in Sztum was planned for 13 September.

Additional August events highlighted the breadth of the programme: Opole‑Winow hosted the jubilee Zlot Tarcza, a military‑vehicle gathering with historic reenactments and parachute drops; Mrągowo celebrated its 10th Festiwal Weselnych Przebojów with disco‑polo artists and a televised renewal of marriage vows; open‑air concerts took place on Kutno’s Zielona Ośka; Kraków’s Podgórze continued its weekend cultural calendar; an open day was held at the Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych in Gronów Górny; and Lesko marked the 30th anniversary of the Agrobieszczady trade fair. Together these activities underscored local traditions, music, crafts and community participation across Poland throughout the summer.
