Poland maintains mandatory RTV license fee regulations

In Poland, current regulations regarding the RTV license fee remain in effect despite ongoing legislative work to introduce a new audiovisual fee by 2027. Owners of televisions and radios are required to register new devices within 14 days.

Monthly rates are set at 9.50 PLN for a radio and 30.50 PLN for a television or a combined device. For private individuals, a single household fee covers all devices, including car radios. However, businesses must pay for each individual device, including those in offices and service vehicles.

Failure to register devices can result in significant penalties. Poczta Polska is authorized to conduct inspections, and unregistered users face fines amounting to 30 times the monthly fee: 285 PLN for a radio or 920 PLN for a television and radio combination. Unpaid debts may eventually be transferred to the tax office.
