Poland opens final 2023 “Wakacje z wojskiem” volunteer training

The Polish Armed Forces announced the last session of the “Wakacje z wojskiem 3” programme, a 27‑day voluntary training period that begins on 17 August and runs until 12 September. Participants will receive a gross salary of roughly 6,000 zł and are provided with accommodation, full board, uniforms, medical care and insurance. The programme targets individuals aged 18‑35, including recent graduates and university students, and allows volunteers to choose among various branches such as land forces, armored, airborne, missile units or the navy.

Earlier in the summer, more than 120 volunteers of the 6th Mazovian Brigade of the Territorial Defence completed the basic 16‑day “Wakacje z WOT” course and took the oath of service in a ceremony in Michałowice. The “Wakacje z WOT” initiative, running for seven years, is designed to let students, teachers and other education staff join the Territorial Defence without interrupting the school year, reinforcing Poland’s reserve forces.
