Poland opens Polish‑Hungarian trail and Saint Wojciech pilgrimage

A ceremonial opening of the Polish‑Hungarian cultural trail took place in Zubrzyca Górna, featuring Hungarian Consul General Tibor Gerencsér, a parade of Hungarian hussars, traditional music and folk dance performances. The event highlighted historic ties between the region of Orawa and the former Kingdom of Hungary, with the new trail linking sites from Zubrzyca Górna to Szczawnica.

In Turze, Kuyavian‑Pomeranian Voivodeship, the international Saint Wojciech pilgrimage route was inaugurated. The ceremony, attended by Primate of Poland Archbishop Wojciech Polak, included a Mass, the presentation of Saint Wojciech relics, and a historical reenactment. The route commemorates the missionary journeys of Saint Wojciech and forms part of a longer trail that runs from Prague to the Holy Grove in Poland.
