Polish towns host a wave of summer festivals and fairs in August 2026
A series of cultural and agricultural events took place across Poland in August 2026. In Pszczyna the XVI Śląskie Dni Miodu offered a honey market, workshops for children and live music. Opole‑Winow hosted the jubilee Zlot Tarcza, a military‑vehicle gathering with historic reenactments and parachute drops. Mrągowo’s 10th Festiwal Weselnych Przebojów featured popular disco‑polo artists and a televised ceremony renewing the hosts’ marriage vows. Dożynki (harvest festivals) were celebrated in several locations: at the Stanica WOPR “Salina”, in Sztum during the Pomorskie Święto Plonów, and in the Gmina Wadowice Górne, each with masses, folk performances and regional food stalls. Other summer programmes included open‑air concerts on Kutno’s Zielona Ośka, a weekend cultural calendar in Krakow’s Podgórze, an open day at the Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych in Gronów Górny, and the Agrobieszczady trade fair in Lesko marking its 30th anniversary. Together these events highlighted local traditions, music, crafts and community participation throughout the country.
