Poland records several fatal road and transport accidents in July 2026

A series of fatal accidents occurred across Poland in July 2026. In Warsaw, a Flixbus collided with a cyclist at a signalized intersection, killing the 35‑year‑old rider on the spot. Police are investigating the crash, and the bus was not in service at the time.

On 10 July, a 20‑year‑old driver of a Ford died after his vehicle entered an intersection against a red light and was struck by a Volvo truck on the national road DK10 near Dzierzążnia; the crash also involved a Skoda that was lightly injured.

In Lublin, a 35‑year‑old pedestrian was fatally struck on al. Sikorskiego when a Toyota driver ran a red light, failing to yield to a stopped truck. This follows another death at the same crossing earlier in the month.

A 13‑year‑old boy was killed instantly when his family’s Kia overturned on provincial road 483 in Chabielice, Łódź region. Additional incidents involved a nighttime BMW crash near Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki that injured one person, and several other minor accidents reported in the country.

Authorities are conducting investigations into each incident, emphasizing road safety and compliance with traffic signals.
