Poland records two serious traffic accidents, injuring five and killing a teen

Two separate road collisions occurred in central Poland. On a regional road near Dobroni, three vehicles – an Opel, a Volkswagen and a Ford – collided, leaving five people injured and requiring hospital treatment. The drivers were reported to be sober and held valid licences. In a separate incident in Lublin, a 19‑year‑old driver without a licence, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, crashed his BMW into a Toyota, killing a teenage passenger and injuring six others. Prosecutors have sought his temporary detention and he faces a potential prison term of up to 20 years.

Both accidents prompted police investigations and road closures, with authorities directing traffic to alternate routes and conducting crash reconstructions.
