Poland reports high levels of chronic fatigue among citizens
A report by PZU Zdrowie titled ‘Epidemia zmęczenia. Polacy nie mają czasu na zdrowie’ reveals that nearly 80% of Poles experienced chronic fatigue within the three months preceding the study. Among those surveyed, 28% reported feeling this fatigue frequently.
Regarding sleep patterns, 25% of respondents sleep fewer than six hours per night, while 39% report sleeping between six and seven hours. Only 7% of the population sleeps more than eight hours daily. The prevalence of frequent fatigue is higher among younger demographics, affecting 35% of those aged 18–24 and 31% of those aged 25–29, compared to 22% of those aged 60 and older.
While 64% of respondents rated their physical health as good or very good, mental well-being assessments varied by age. Only 42% of young adults aged 18–24 rated their psychological well-being positively.
