Poland road accidents block key routes in Pyskowice and Jasionka
A five‑vehicle collision involving three passenger cars and two trucks on national road DK 94 in Pyskowice caused the lane toward Tarnowskie Góry to be completely closed. Police confirmed all drivers were sober and held valid licences; no injuries were reported. Detours were set through the town centre and nearby villages while work to restore traffic continued.
On the same day, a six‑vehicle crash — two trucks and four cars — occurred on the under‑repair section of the S19 expressway near Jasionka. The impact blocked the lane heading toward Rzeszów, with one person requiring assistance. Police directed traffic onto DW 878 (formerly DK 19) and estimated the disruption would last until about 22:00. Both incidents prompted police to manage traffic and advise motorists to use alternative routes.
These accidents caused significant temporary congestion on two major Polish road corridors but resulted in no serious casualties.
