Poland roadworks on A1 highway and local routes cause June traffic disruptions
From 15 June, a section of the A1 highway between Kutno‑Wschód and Piątek will be closed to the emergency lane and the right‑hand lane, leaving traffic to use only the left lane at a reduced speed of 80 km/h. The works are expected to finish on 19 June in the afternoon, after which the full carriageway will reopen. Similar lane closures will continue on the opposite side of the highway during the following week (22‑26 June).
At the same time, the county road nr 2294L in Gałęzów‑Kolonia Druga will be resurfaced between 15 June and 17 June. The contractor PBI INFRASTRUKTURA will work from 17:00 to midnight, temporarily blocking the road and advising residents to move vehicles before 16:00 to avoid access problems. Drivers are urged to plan alternative routes during the works.
Both projects aim to improve the condition of major transport corridors and will cause short‑term inconvenience for motorists in central Poland.
