Poland RTV subscription deadline set for August 25

In Poland, individuals with registered radio and television receivers must meet the August 25 deadline to pay their RTV subscription fee to avoid arrears. Under the rules for 2026, the fee is due in advance by the 25th day of the first month of the settlement period.

Failure to pay by the deadline results in arrears, which may incur interest similar to tax debts. While the tax office does not immediately seize wages or bank accounts the day after a missed deadline, unpaid amounts can eventually be pursued through administrative enforcement. Poczta Polska notes that in cases of debt, subsequent payments are applied first to the costs of delivered reminders, then to interest, and finally to the overdue subscription fee.

For 2026, monthly rates are 30.50 PLN for a television receiver and 9.50 PLN for a radio. Annual payments made in advance offer a 10 percent discount, reducing the television fee to 329.40 PLN and the radio fee to 102.60 PLN. Options for three-month or six-month advance payments are also available.
