Poland sanatorium costs to decrease under new NFZ regulations
Starting October 1, the cost of stays in sanatoriums funded by the National Health Fund (NFZ) in Poland will decrease due to a new regulation from the Ministry of Health. The change affects the rates for partial coverage of meals and accommodation.
For a 21-day stay, patients could see savings exceeding 200 PLN depending on the room standard. For example, the daily rate for a single room with full sanitary facilities will drop from 40.90 PLN to 32.60 PLN. Even greater savings are available for single studio rooms, where the daily rate decreases from 37.40 PLN to 26.10 PLN, resulting in a total saving of approximately 237.30 PLN over a three-week period.
The lower rates apply to the autumn-winter settlement season, which runs from October 1 to April 30. The minimum daily rate for multi-person rooms without full sanitary facilities will be 10.60 PLN.
