Poland sanatorium rates to decrease from October 1

Starting October 1, patients utilizing sanatorium treatments funded by the National Health Fund (NFZ) in Poland will face lower daily rates for accommodation and meals. This change marks the beginning of the autumn-winter billing season, which runs from October 1 to April 30.

Under the current regulations set by the Ministry of Health, patients are responsible for covering a portion of their stay costs, including food and lodging, while the NFZ covers medical treatments. The daily fees vary based on room standards. For the upcoming season, rates range from a minimum of 10.60 PLN for multi-person rooms to a maximum of 32.60 PLN for single rooms with full sanitary facilities.

These seasonal adjustments can lead to significant savings for patients. For example, a three-week stay in a single room with full sanitary facilities can be over 200 PLN cheaper compared to the higher rates applicable during the May to September season.
