Poland sets 2026 deadline for Dobry Start school aid applications, outlines payout dates

Poland's Dobry Start program provides a one‑off 300 zł school‑equipment allowance to children up to age 20, extending to age 24 for those with disabilities. Applications are accepted electronically via mZUS, the PUE ZUS portal, Emp@tia or internet banking from 1 July 2026 until 30 November 2026.

If a correctly completed request is submitted by the end of August, the benefit will be paid no later than 30 September. Applications filed after August are paid within two months of submission. The aid is tax‑free, cannot be seized by bailiffs and is granted regardless of family income. It does not cover preschoolers, kindergarten‑prep classes or university students. The programme has been in force since 2018 and is currently regulated by the 15 June 2021 Council of Ministers decree.
