Poland sets 2027 military qualification regulations

The Polish Ministry of National Defence has issued a regulation regarding military qualifications for 2027. The document, which entered into force on September 4, outlines the procedures for approximately 245,000 individuals.

The military qualification process is scheduled to be announced on January 15, 2027, with commissions set to operate from February 1 through April 30, 2027. The primary goal of this procedure is to determine military service capabilities and update official records, rather than serving as an immediate mobilization or automatic enlistment into the army.

The largest group affected will be men born in 2008, who will be 19 years old in 2027. Additionally, men born between 2003 and 2007 who have not yet had their service category determined must also appear before the commissions. The regulation also includes certain groups of women.
