Poland sets new maximum fuel prices for June
Poland’s Ministry of Energy announced new maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel on 12 June 2026. The caps for Friday are 5.98 zl per litre for gasoline 95, 6.55 zl per litre for gasoline 98 and 6.37 zl per litre for diesel. For the weekend (13‑14 June) and Monday (15 June) the limits rise slightly to 6.04 zl, 6.58 zl and 6.40 zl respectively.
The limits are part of the “Ceny Paliwa Niżej” programme, which extends reduced VAT (from 23 % to 8 %) and lower excise duties on fuel until 15 June. Prices are calculated daily from the average wholesale price reported by the five largest market participants, plus taxes, a fuel fee and a fixed 0.30 zl per litre margin. Retailers who sell above the ceiling face fines up to 1 million zl, enforced by the National Tax Administration.
