Poland tests long-range drones for Deep Precision Strike program

The Polish military has commenced testing of domestic long-range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as part of the ‘Deep Precision Strike’ program. The initiative aims to develop relatively inexpensive and scalable systems capable of precision strikes at distances of approximately 1,000 kilometers.

Deputy Minister of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk stated that the goal is to enhance deterrence by forcing potential aggressors to consider high costs during the planning stages of an attack. The military emphasized that the drones currently undergoing testing are not equipped with warheads.

To facilitate the trials, which began on September 11, special flight corridors (TSA460A/B/C/D) were established across Polish airspace. The flight path spans several regions, stretching from the Central Air Force Training Ground in Wicko Morskie and Ustka, through western Poland, toward the training ground in Nowa Dęba in the southeast. During these tests, civil drone flights are prohibited within the active zones at altitudes of up to 4,500 feet.
