Poland warns of Russian provocations against border infrastructure

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has warned of increased Russian provocations targeting border infrastructure and commercial routes along the EU's eastern flank. Speaking in Bratislava, Tusk revealed that Polish and Ukrainian security services successfully thwarted a direct threat to a border crossing point during the night.

This warning follows a drone attack on a border crossing between Ukraine and Moldova in the Odessa region, which resulted in two fatalities. Tusk noted that Russia may target other border crossings to disrupt trade routes and weaken Ukraine's economy.

Furthermore, Tusk stated he received a “quite precise report” from CIA Director John Ratcliffe regarding potential security threats and developments in the coming months. He emphasized that both Poland and the broader European Union must prepare for various scenarios on the Russian-Ukrainian front and along the eastern flank of NATO.
