Poland holds National Response Training at 1,400 locations

On August 29, approximately 1,400 training points across Poland are hosting the National Response Training organized by the Academy of Population Protection and Civil Defense (OLiOC). This initiative, led by the Ministry of Interior and Administration in cooperation with local governments and emergency services, aims to provide citizens with practical knowledge for crisis situations.

The training focuses on the “Three Steps to Safety”: recognizing alarm signals, verifying messages through official sources such as the RCB Alert or Regional Warning System, and determining the appropriate reaction. Participants are also being educated on identifying safe shelters and preparing customized evacuation backpacks tailored to the specific needs of family members, including children and seniors.

Training locations include city centers, fire stations, libraries, and community centers. Major hubs are scheduled in cities such as Warsaw, Rzeszów, Świdnica, and Oława. The program is designed to replace panic with informed action during natural disasters, infrastructure failures, or other emergencies.
