Poland to hold nationwide crisis response training on August 29

The Polish Ministry of the Interior and Administration is organizing a nationwide National Response Training program on August 29. This educational initiative, conducted through the Academy OLiOC, aims to prepare citizens for crisis situations by providing practical skills.

Free educational points will be established in thousands of locations across Poland, including city centers, tourist areas, fire stations, libraries, and community centers. Participants will meet with experts and emergency services to learn how to recognize alarm signals, locate shelters, verify information, and prepare emergency evacuation backpacks.

The program is part of a broader civic education effort under the Act on Population Protection and Civil Defense. Since the beginning of 2026, over 276,000 people have participated in Academy OLiOC events, including 106,000 during the June National First Aid Training. Magdalena Roguska, Secretary of State at the Ministry, emphasized that individual preparedness is a vital component of national security.
