Poland launches nationwide emergency response training

Poland is conducting a nationwide National Response Training organized by the Academy of Population Protection and Civil Defense (OLiOC) and the Ministry of Interior and Administration. The training, scheduled for August 29-30, 2026, will take place across approximately 1,400 locations throughout the country, including libraries, fire stations, and community centers.

The initiative aims to increase social resilience by teaching citizens how to react to emergency sirens and official warnings. Participants will learn a three-step safety protocol: recognizing alarm signals, verifying information through official channels such as Alert RCB and the Regional Warning System (RSO), and taking appropriate action, such as locating the nearest shelter.

Educational points will also provide practical demonstrations on preparing an emergency evacuation backpack tailored to individual family needs. Magdalena Roguska, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Interior and Administration, emphasized that while rapid service response is vital, practical knowledge and individual preparedness are essential for effective crisis management.
