Poland to host Dominican Republic in Davis Cup play-off

The Polish Davis Cup team will face the Dominican Republic in a play-off match for promotion to World Group I. The draw, conducted by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) in London, scheduled the encounter for February 5–6 or 6–7, 2027.

Poland, currently ranked 31st, will host the match. The Polish Tennis Association is expected to announce the specific location, dates, and court surface by mid-November. The winner of this tie will compete in September for a spot in the Davis Cup Finals, while the loser will remain in Group II.

This marks the first time Poland has faced the Dominican Republic in the Davis Cup. The Dominican team, ranked 62nd, currently features ATP-ranked players including Nick Hardt, Roberto Cid, Peter Bertran, and Enmanuel Munoz. The Polish team will be led by a new captain following the resignation of Mariusz Fyrstenberg.
