Poland to host military and cavalry commemorations in 2026

Poland will observe several significant military and historical commemorations in August and September 2026.

On August 15, Polish Armed Forces Day will be celebrated to mark the anniversary of the 1920 Battle of Warsaw. In Nowe Miasto nad Pilicą, ceremonies will take place at the former site of the 47th School Helicopter Regiment. The event will include gatherings of veterans, such as members of the Association of Military Aviation Seniors of the Republic of Poland, and local military units like the 63rd Light Infantry Battalion of the 6th Mazovian Territorial Defense Brigade.

Following these celebrations, the Museum of the Battle of Warsaw 1920 in Ossów will host Polish Cavalry Day on September 5–6, 2026. This event coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Federation of Volunteer Cavalry of the Republic of Poland. The program includes the Polish Equestrian Weaponry Championships, cavalry unit displays featuring approximately 100 horses, shooting competitions, and presentations of modern military equipment.
