Poland to mandate electronic CEIDG business applications

New regulations regarding the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG) in Poland will introduce significant changes to how business applications are processed.

Starting October 14, 2026, new forms will be implemented, including the CEIDG-1 application for entry into the register, as well as specific annexes for successor managers (CEIDG-ZS), legal representatives for minors (CEIDG-OP), and court-designated representatives (CEIDG-OPS). These forms will be available via the Biznes.gov.pl portal.

Effective November 1, 2026, applications for starting a business must be submitted exclusively in electronic form through Biznes.gov.pl. Municipal offices will no longer accept paper-based CEIDG-1 applications for adults. An exception exists for minors, who may continue to submit applications at municipal offices until October 31, 2028. Other types of applications, such as changes to entries, suspensions, or deletions, can still be submitted via municipal offices until October 31, 2028, after which all submissions must be electronic.
