Poland undertakes church plaza revamp in Łowiczu and major highway junction overhaul near Poznań

In Łowicz, work has begun on the plaza in front of the Piarist Fathers' church. Existing concrete slabs and the western processional road are being removed and replaced with gray granitic paving. The project, costing about 180,000 złoty and funded by parish donations, includes archaeological supervision, though no discoveries were made. Most of the new edging and surfaces are already laid, and the first phase may finish before the coming weekend, with remaining sections scheduled for later.

Meanwhile, the A2 Poznań Krzesiny junction will enter a major refurbishment on 22 June. Autostrada Wielkopolska SA will replace the surface layer of the interchange in several stages, using temporary detours and reduced speed limits of 50 km/h. Drivers are warned of lane reductions, one‑way traffic on certain carriageways, and possible diversions via nearby interchanges or city streets. Updates on traffic conditions are available on the operator’s website and hotline.
