Polish towns launch and complete road reconstruction projects with government funding
Local authorities in several Polish regions are advancing road reconstruction projects financed through the national Road Development Fund and other public sources.
In the Subcarpathian town of Nowa Sarzyna, work has begun on a 3.3‑km stretch of county road 1240R between Wola Zarczycka and Nowa Sarzyna. The upgrade, costing about 6.5 million zł, will widen the carriageway to 6 m and add asphalt shoulders; 60 % of the cost is covered by the Road Development Fund.
In Dobrzejowice, a 540‑m segment of voivodeship road 292 is being resurfaced with a first layer already laid. The 1.9 million zł investment is funded from the state disaster‑relief reserve and is expected to be finished in July.
The 1,080‑m county road 1414 S between Strysza and Polanki has been fully renovated, receiving a new asphalt surface, improved side‑verges and drainage works, enhancing safety and durability.
Świdnica is set to receive a grant of 817,999 zł from the Road Development Fund for the reconstruction of Bolesława Chrobrego Street, a project valued at roughly 2.7 million zł that will include road, sidewalk, parking bays, drainage and new street lighting.
Radomsko aims to build a new viaduct over railway tracks on Kraszewskiego Street as part of a 58 million zł scheme to eliminate level crossings nationwide. The town has been placed tenth in the second‑stage funding list and seeks up to 10 million zł of grant aid, with the total project scheduled for completion by December 2030.
