Poland weather alert: Dense fog and frost warnings issued

The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) has issued first-degree weather alerts for much of Poland, specifically targeting the Podkarpackie and Mazowieckie regions. The warnings focus on dense fog that could reduce visibility to as low as 100 to 200 meters, creating hazardous conditions for drivers.

In the Podkarpackie region, the alert is effective from the evening of Wednesday, November 4, through Thursday morning, November 5. Forecasters predict heavy fog, frost, and potentially slippery road surfaces due to freezing mist. Temperatures in mountainous areas like the Bieszczady and Beskid Niski may drop between -5°C and -1°C.

In Mazowieckie, similar fog warnings were issued for Wednesday morning, affecting various counties including Płock and Ciechanów. While Thursday is expected to bring clearer skies and sunshine, temperatures will remain cool, and dense fog is expected to return during the night from Thursday to Friday, particularly in western, central, and southern parts of the country.
