Poland's Athletics Championships Schedule New Events in Warsaw and Bydgoszcz

The Polish Athletics Federation has moved the Open Men's 5 km national championship to Warsaw, integrating it into the Praska 5K Run on 5 September. The race will start at 19:30 and finish at the PGE Narodowy stadium, using a flat, fast loop through the city centre.

Separately, the Polish Masters Athletics Championships will take place in Bydgoszcz from 31 July to 2 August at the Zawisza Stadium. The event attracted 715 participants, a rise of about 70 from the previous edition, and serves as a final preparation for the upcoming World Masters Championships in Daegu, South Korea. Former Olympian Ludwika Chewińska and other veteran athletes are expected to compete, and the city’s mayor Rafał Bruskiew will present the President’s Medal during the opening ceremony.
