Poland's automotive market sees sales boost and affordable kombivan options

In the first ten days of June, Poland recorded a modest increase in new passenger‑car registrations, rising 0.3 % to 15,702 units. Individual buyers accounted for 10 % of this growth, registering 4,846 vehicles, while companies added 10,856 cars. Toyota remained the top brand with 2,232 registrations, led by the Corolla, followed by Skoda, Volkswagen, Kia and Hyundai. Chinese manufacturers made a noticeable impact: MG and BYD together captured 12.7 % of sales, and Chery, which entered the market a year earlier, sold 6,668 cars in its first 12 months.

At the same time, a market review highlighted a selection of practical, low‑cost kombivan models available in Poland. Recommended options include the Citroën Berlingo II (prices 10‑40 k PLN), Fiat Doblo II/Opel Combo D (12‑60 k PLN), Dacia Dokker (17‑45 k PLN) and Volkswagen Caddy III (10‑90 k PLN). The review notes their flexible seating, spacious cargo areas and economical diesel engines, while advising against automatic transmissions in most cases. Electric vehicles accounted for 5.5 % of June registrations, up from 4.1 % in May.
