One user from Siemianowice Śląskie said his code was used in Wojkowice, a town he had never visited, sparking speculation about possible data‑skimming techniques, though officials have not confirmed any method.

Meanwhile, Lidl Poland has extended its promotion for non‑deposit PET bottles and cans. The program, which adds a 10 gr credit per container and allows returns at Lidl stores, was originally set to end in March but now runs until 30 September 2026. Lidl notes that over 85 % of returns are already deposit‑eligible items, and the promotion aims to attract shoppers by increasing the value of otherwise non‑refundable packaging.
