Poland's CPK and BGK seal financing pact to boost local firms in Port Polska project

The Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) and the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) have signed an agreement to provide financing and organisational support to Polish companies participating in the Port Polska infrastructure programme. The deal aims to strengthen domestic supply chains, safeguard the execution of the multibillion‑zloty project – estimated at 131 billion zł in total, with the airport component alone costing over 40 billion zł – and keep a larger share of public funds in the Polish economy.

BGK will make available guarantees, investment and working‑capital loans, and other contractual securities for firms involved in preparatory works, supply‑chain investments and contract performance. As CPK president Filip Czernicki stressed, “Local content is not only a slogan, but concrete actions for the durable anchoring of the investment in the Polish economy.” BGK president Mirosław Czekaj added that “investments in Polish infrastructure are strategic and offer a unique chance to build the competencies of Polish entrepreneurs.”
