Poland's Festival Życia draws over 1,500 youth from around the world

The Festival Życia, Poland’s largest Christian youth gathering, is taking place in the forest village of Kokotek. Since Monday, nearly 1,500 participants have arrived, many travelling hundreds of kilometres to spend a week of concerts, talks and outdoor activities.

Attendees include young people from Canada, the United States, Belgium, Sweden and Australia, alongside Polish participants from across the country. The programme features a “Festival Runner” obstacle race, conferences, evening worship sessions led by priests such as Adam Szustak and Tomasz Nowak, and concerts by groups like Diiya, Skytech and C‑Bool. The week will conclude on 12 July with a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Andrzej Przybylski.

Organisers highlight the festival as a combination of faith and holiday fun, noting its growing international appeal and the sense of community created among young Catholics.
