Poland's Law and Justice Party Schedules Kłodzko Convention to Criticise Governing Coalition

Law and Justice (PiS) is organizing a convention in Kłodzko on 5 July, where party leader Jarosław Kaczyński will address alleged scandals involving the governing coalition led by Civic Platform. The event will focus on exposing what PiS calls large‑scale fraud and illegal actions, citing the hospital autopsy‑unit scandal in Warsaw’s South Hospital and accusations of illicit funeral‑service contracts.

During a press conference, Kaczyński reiterated his long‑standing view that cryptocurrencies are a fraud, rejecting claims that his party’s foundations receive crypto‑related funding. He described the situation as “disgusting” and warned that the coalition is “sinking”. PiS officials said the timing is ideal to hold the convention and promised a “long‑remembered” presentation of the alleged misconduct.

The convention is intended to rally PiS supporters, attract voters from allied right‑wing parties, and frame the upcoming elections as a contest over corruption and broken promises by the current government.
