Poland's libraries win funding for STEM and digital learning projects

The public library in Wodzisław Śląski received a grant of 49,500 zł to expand its "Odkrywcy" program. The funding will support the creation of interactive STEM‑based educational materials, workshops on astronomy and astronautics, and a range of extracurricular activities aimed at fostering creativity, decision‑making and scientific curiosity among children and young people.

In the Łódź Voivodeship, residents are voting in the 2026/2027 Citizen Budget on project PI013 – "Biblioteka łączy – książki, technologia, ludzie". The proposal, submitted by the Pedagogical Library branch in Piotrków Trybunalski, seeks funds to purchase educational robots, laptops, audiobooks, large‑print books and other digital tools to run programming classes, digital‑literacy workshops and cultural events for all age groups.
