Poland's Ministry of the Interior debunks evacuation disinformation

The Polish Ministry of the Interior and Administration (MSWiA) has issued a denial regarding viral disinformation claiming the National Evacuation Plan is a scheme to forcibly displace Polish citizens. False reports circulating on social media, often accompanied by AI-generated imagery, suggested the plan was an agreement between Berlin and Kyiv to facilitate military actions against Moscow and claimed that evacuees would be unable to return to their homes.

MSWiA clarified that the National Evacuation Plan is a standard procedure designed to manage the efficient movement of residents from areas threatened by war, the threat of war, or natural disasters to safer parts of the country. The plan, created under the Act on Population Protection and Civil Defense, outlines transport organization and coordination responsibilities.

According to the Government Security Centre (RCB), an evacuation order cannot be issued without the declaration of a state of emergency.
