Poland outlines mobilization card types, duties and penalties

Poland's defence law defines three types of mobilisation cards issued by the Military Recruitment Centre. A red‑striped card obliges passive‑reserve soldiers to report for active service within six hours of a mobilisation order. A green‑striped card requires reserve personnel to report only when a specific call‑up is received. A blue‑striped card applies to Ministry of Defence employees and other non‑military staff, with obligations similar to the red‑striped card.

Failure to appear at the designated location and time can result in imprisonment of at least three years for red and green cards, and up to two years for blue cards, with additional fines or restrictions for non‑compliance with medical examinations or information requests.

The regulations, enacted under the 11 March 2022 Act on the Defence of the Fatherland, also specify that mobilisation cards are assigned during peacetime, detailing the unit to which the cardholder must report in the event of mobilisation or war.
