Polish towns and cities open summer pools and water parks as heatwave peaks

Several Polish locations opened or relaunched water‑recreation facilities as temperatures rose above 30 °C. In Kraków, the Zakrzówek lake bathing area resumed operations on 27 June but limited simultaneous visitors to 300 people because of low water levels, a reduction from the usual 600.

Katowice launched a summer promotion at three municipal swimming pools – Brynów, Burowiec and Zadole – offering free two‑hour vouchers after collecting 20 visit stamps, a program aimed at children, youths and students.

The H2Ostróg water park in Racibórz began service on 27 June, featuring multiple slides, a wave pool and wellness areas, with QR‑code tickets and extended opening hours through September.

Kutno's outdoor municipal pool opened on the same day, offering free admission daily until late August and expecting large attendance due to the heat.

In Wrocław, lakeside bathing sites such as “Jeziorowa”, “Harcerska” and “Królewiecka” reopened for free public use throughout the summer, providing amenities like outdoor gyms, playgrounds and lifeguard supervision.

Tourism operators also highlighted family‑friendly options: Hotel Aquarion Family & Friends in Zakopane offers direct indoor access to the Termy Zakopiańskie thermal baths, while the upcoming Infinity Sky 36 °C pool in Istebna, suspended above a ski slope, is slated to open in July.
