Poland's PiS rallies around Morawiecki and Czarnek on election strategy and fertility policy
On 8 June 2026 former premier Mateusz Morawiecki and Education Minister Przemysław Czarnek appeared together at a rally in Gorzów Wielkopolski, presenting PiS's internal pre‑campaign narrative. Morawiecki explained how the party could defeat the opposition and media outlets such as TVN, referring to a “second dignity revolution”. Jarosław Kaczyński later praised Czarnek as a credible candidate for the party’s conservative base.
In a televised interview Czarnek debated journalist Magda Sakowska over the main causes of Poland’s low birth rate. He stressed that “Polacy przede wszystkim muszą mieć dobrze płatną pracę, dostęp do mieszkań i przewidywalne kredyty” and argued that promoting family values, not individual egoism, should be the focus. He also reiterated support for marriage and family promotion as cultural priorities.
