Poland's Territorial Defense Volunteers Begin Summer Training

Around 150 volunteers have started the 2026 edition of the "Wakacje z WOT" (Summer with Territorial Defense) programme run by the 3rd Podkarpacka Territorial Defense Brigade. The 16‑day basic course, which began on 27 June, provides participants – mainly students and young workers – with uniform, helmets, mountain infantry packs, sleeping gear and training in drill, firearms, tactics, battlefield first aid, map work and regulations. After completing a tactical field exercise and taking an oath, volunteers are slated to join battalions of the brigade in Rzeszów, Niżna, Dębica and Tarnobrzeg. A second session is planned to start on 14 August 2026.
