Poland's UOKiK fines iGenius promoters for pyramid scheme activities

The Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) has imposed fines totaling 413,000 PLN on six promoters of iGenius, an informal group known as GameChangers Polska. The individuals received penalties ranging from 42,000 to 99,000 PLN for promoting what the regulator identified as a pyramid scheme via social media.

UOKiK determined that while iGenius officially offered digital educational tools and investment training, the core of the business model was recruitment. Participants' profits were primarily derived from the fees paid by new members rather than the sale of actual products. The promoters used social media to showcase luxury lifestyles and exotic travel to entice others into the partner program.

This action follows a significant fine of over 14.6 million PLN levied against iGenius itself in late 2025 for operating an illegal promotional system. The company has appealed that decision, and legal proceedings are ongoing. Additionally, the American entity associated with the brand has rebranded as Conectiv, a move UOKiK suggests is intended to obscure its connection to previous activities.
