Poland's Wielkopolskie Region Allocates Nearly 250k PLN for Church Monument Renovations

The Marshal's Office of the Wielkopolskie region announced that eight parishes will receive almost 250,000 zł in grants for the conservation and restoration of historic churches. The largest single grant, 50,000 zł, is earmarked for the wall‑painting conservation on the western nave of St Sebastian's church in Kłodawa. Other allocations include 45,000 zł for the renovation of a graveyard at an evangelical‑Reformed parish in Żychlin, 45,000 zł for the tower of the evangelical‑Augsburg church in Turku, and 30,000 zł each for façade work at St Jacob Apostle's church in Wrząca Wielka and St Bartholomew Apostle's church in Osiek Wielki. Smaller sums of 29,000 zł and 10,000 zł support altar restoration in Graboszew and the renovation of a baptism scene painting in Ląd, respectively. Overall, the regional office will allocate 2.5 million zł to preserve 78 heritage monuments across the province. Marshal Marek Woźniak said the funding will "help preserve the cultural heritage for future generations."
