Indonesian police seize massive methamphetamine shipments and arrest content producers

Indonesian police have conducted major operations targeting drug trafficking and the production of illegal content. As part of Operasi Nila Jaya 2026, the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat) intercepted two significant shipments of methamphetamine (sabu).

In one incident, a 47-year-old man was apprehended in Sawangan, Depok, after attempting to evade officers; police recovered approximately 25.2 kilograms of methamphetamine hidden in a motorcycle seat. In a separate operation, a 61-year-old courier was arrested in Parung, Bogor, while caught in traffic. He was found in possession of 20.5 kilograms of methamphetamine, valued at Rp25 billion, which was allegedly part of an international network originating from the Middle East.

In a separate criminal matter, the Bogor Police (Polres Bogor) arrested two men, identified as MR (27) and MA (24), for producing and selling explicit same-sex videos under the guise of “a Day in My Life” content. The suspects, who reportedly produced 20 videos to earn money for daily needs, have been detained. Authorities noted that both individuals tested positive for HIV during medical examinations.
