Polda Metro Jaya finds no criminal foul play in Sutrimo's death

Polda Metro Jaya has concluded its investigation into the death of Sutrimo, a former staff member of former Attorney General's Office official Febrie Adriansyah, finding no evidence of criminal activity.

Following an exhumation and forensic examination, medical experts determined the cause of death was ischemic heart disease. Investigators reached this conclusion after analyzing 30 witness statements, dozens of CCTV recordings, and forensic laboratory results. The CCTV footage reconstructed Sutrimo’s final movements on July 22 and 23, 2026, showing him using various motorcycles in the Petogogan and Radio Dalam areas of South Jakarta before being evacuated by ambulance.

Police officials stated that while Sutrimo’s connection to Febrie Adriansyah was noted, it was not the primary focus of the investigation. The probe focused on determining the physical cause of death. Authorities noted that the investigation could be reopened if new evidence or a 'novum' is discovered.
