Polestar unveils Polestar 4 SUV with increased utility
Polestar has introduced the Polestar 4 SUV, a new variant of its successful electric model designed to offer increased utility and practicality compared to the Polestar 4 coupé. A key distinction is the return of a traditional rear window and rearview mirror, addressing consumer feedback regarding the coupé's camera-only visibility system.
Built on the Geely Group SEA platform, the SUV features a more upright tailgate and a redesigned roofline, providing 2.5 cm of additional headroom for rear passengers. The cargo capacity ranges from 530 liters to a maximum of 1,665 liters with the rear seats folded. The vehicle is equipped with a 100 kWh battery and offers two powertrain options: a rear-wheel-drive version with up to 630 km of WLTP range, and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive version delivering 400 kW with up to 600 km of WLTP range.
Production has commenced in Busan, South Korea. The model includes modern features such as a panoramic glass roof, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, and integrated Google Gemini artificial intelligence. The SUV is positioned as a more versatile and accessible option within the Polestar lineup.
