Portugal saw a 19% increase in registrations through September 2026, supported by new model rollouts. Conversely, excluding the U.S., third-quarter sales fell by 8%. The U.S. market saw a 124% spike in third-quarter sales due to heavy discounting to clear inventory ahead of Department of Commerce rules prohibiting certain Chinese connectivity technologies—restrictions Polestar has reportedly failed to bypass.
