Polestar launches Polestar 4 SUV with increased practicality

Polestar has launched the Polestar 4 SUV, a more practical variant of its flagship electric model. Unlike the Polestar 4 Coupe, which utilizes a digital rearview mirror due to a lack of rear glass, the SUV version features a traditional rear window and wiper. This design change, along with a more upright roofline and tailgate, increases rear headroom by 2.5 cm and expands cargo capacity to 530 liters (up to 655 liters to the roof), with a maximum of 1,665 liters when seats are folded.

Built on the SEA platform, the vehicle is produced at the Renault-Geely plant in Busan, South Korea. It offers two powertrain options: a rear-motor version with 200 kW (272 hp) providing up to 630 km of WLTP range, and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive version with 400 kW (544 hp) and a range of up to 600 km.

Key features include a 100-kWh battery with 200 kW DC fast charging, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability for powering external devices, and a new Camping Mode. The interior also integrates Google Gemini AI for enhanced voice assistance. First deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
