Polestar unveils Formula 2030 concept to preview future EV designs
Polestar has unveiled teaser images of its ‘Formula 2030’ concept car, a project designed to define the brand’s future design language and support its 2030 strategic goals for growth and profitability. Led by Head of Design Philipp Römers, the concept focuses on a ‘bold evolution’ rather than a total revolution, maintaining core Scandinavian design principles and signature elements like the ‘Dual Blade’ headlights.
The design cues introduced by the Formula 2030 concept will be integrated into upcoming production models, specifically the next-generation Polestar 2, expected in 2027, and the Polestar 7 compact SUV, anticipated around 2028. The concept emphasizes high performance, advanced technology, and sustainable materials.
A private preview of the concept will be held for investors, dealers, and VIP customers at ‘The Cube’ in Gothenburg, Sweden. A full global debut is scheduled for later this year during the media drive event for the Polestar 4 SUV.
