Police and ADAC roll out rider safety training events in Germany

German police units from Daun, Cochem and Adenau organized the "MotorradErfahren 2026" safety tour on 23 August 2026. The event started at the TechniSat Logistics Centre in Nerdlen, offering practical riding courses before a guided group ride through the Eifel and Mosel region. Participation was limited to licensed motorcyclists who registered in advance.

The ADAC regional branch in North‑Bavaria is offering a three‑hour safety course for cyclists aged 65 and over in Fürth (3 July) and Nürnberg (4 July). The programme, based on scientific research, teaches braking, cornering, lane keeping and balance, and costs €19 per participant. Both initiatives aim to improve road‑riding skills and promote safer behaviour among motorcyclists and older cyclists in Germany.
